Living

The Lifeboat Station's lounge is a welcome sanctuary in which to relax and watch the world go by. Bathed in tranquil tones and embraced by far-reaching sea views, this curated space radiates calm. Taking pride of place, two large windows directly overlook the harbour on one side, with additional windows facing the village. Providing an ever-changing tapestry, they command a mesmeric portrait throughout the year, as captivating in the turquoise hues of summer as the atmospheric depths of winter. Take a seat on one of the two large, comfortable sofas in shades of green and unwind. For further ambience, a wood burning stove creates dreamy fireside moments in the cosy seasons. Meanwhile, a Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker offer added evening entertainment.

Eating and dining

Styled in an open-plan design, the lounge adjoins a kitchen and dining area that pair the same tranquil tones and coastal-luxe décor. Perfectly proportioned, the petite and well-appointed kitchen has everything needed for crafting delicious repasts with ingredients sourced from the village's day boats and surrounding farms. Assisting preparations are a double oven, electric hob and a number of amenities elegantly stowed within dark grey cabinetry. For beautifully blended morning treats, a Nespresso coffee machine also awaits within the kitchen. To savour meals together, a wood dining table resides beneath the apex ceiling of the open-plan living area, set between the kitchen and the lounge. With space for six, it lends an inviting sense of occasion for home-curated meals together with an entrancing backdrop of ocean views.

Sleeping and bathing

There are three heavenly bedrooms at The Lifeboat Station, with each bed adorned in the finest quality 100% Egyptian cottons. There are also three bathrooms, each with Soak and Sleep towels, White Company towelling robes, and warmed by underfloor heating and heated towel rails.

Welcoming for the most serene slumbers, the first bedroom exudes peace in tones of sage and white. At the centre, a sumptuous king-size bed topped with a cloud-soft duvet, throws and cushions promises utmost comfort. A wicker armchair draped in sheepskin sits next to the window and twin bedside tables hug the bed. An ensuite bathroom in white completes this bedroom, elegantly finished with a walk-in shower.

A warm and welcoming haven, the second bedroom features walls of off-white and cream and is decorated in earthy hues. Set below a gently shelving ceiling, an irresistibly comfortable king-size bed beckons for blissful nights of sweet repose and is dressed in 100% Egyptian cotton sheets and a rose velvet throw. An ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower adjoins the room, decorated in soft pink and sage tones.

The third bedroom is ideal for friends or little ones. Imbuing timeless charm, it features white walls complemented with forest green wainscoting, paired with vintage brass and black wall lanterns. Seashell artwork adorns the wall, and a window sits within an alcove allowing natural light to flood the room. On the beds, rust-toned throws are coupled with pillows and cushions for those moments of calm.

The Lifeboat Station also enjoys a separate family bathroom with a deep freestanding bath with a hand-held shower.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about The Lifeboat Station:

Simply fantastic. Well looked after property. We came two years ago and can't believe the high standard maintained. Hopefully we get to stay again at some point in the future. Thank you.

Port Isaac is a tourist attraction that could make the location unattractive. However, the view to the harbor, the activity around boats , birds, the tides, the lifeboat station below, the occational concert (!) and good restaurants close by made up for any inconveniance. A step away from the coastal path we were able to enjoy solitude and great walking in minutes.

The location is amazing. It was fantastic to live just above all the Port Isaac harbour activity. The suggestions in the Lifeboat Station's guide were great and it was handy having the carpark up the hill.

Everything was excellent

Superb accommodation in heart of Port Isaac

Thank you

Simply great! We will be back.

Excellent apartment, wonderful views and lovely eating places close by. Taking the car into Port Isaac is not for the faint hearted and requires some stamina to walk up the hill and out of the village to park it and then collect it for trips out. That said ...it's a real gem of a place to stay.

A wonderful, Mediterranean ‘hot’ week’s stay at the Lifeboat Station. Well equipped and tastefully decorated, we felt very relaxed. The Fisherman’s Friends performance on the platt was a real treat and we really enjoyed the morning pastries from ‘Fee’s’ and lots of great meals - especially at Pilchards’ Cafe in Port Gaverne. We will return!

Heavenly spot - we didn't want to go home!

Wonderful location at the heart of everything in Port Isaac. Fantastic view changing all the time.

We had a great weekend with 6 adults in the life boat station. Fab location & facilities. Take the opportunity to eat in Nathan Outlaw's restaurants.

It is exactly as portrayed in the photos. High spec, modern, very roomy and comfortable. Wonderful views of the harbour. Easily accessible local walks, restaurants, gift shops and eateries.

Amazing property with a unique and magnificent view!

The Lifeboat Station is super comfortable with lovely modern decor and very well equipped. A unique location, provides the best views of the harbour and the activities of Port Isaac. Our second visit this year!

Very comfortable and thoughtfully presented. A lovely vantage point.........soothing for the soul!

Perfect stay in Port Isaac.

A beautiful and tranquil retreat in most definitely the best location you could possibly have in Port Isaac. The view from the living room beats any view of the harbour. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the property is equipped with everything you need for a week’s stay. Worth noting that there aren’t many places open for dinner and even take aways also need booking in advance and can close around 3 so make sure you have provisions!

Absolutely superb!!!

This is a beautiful apartment in a stunning location. It was a perfect venue for a family get together with fabulous walks and surfing close by, some great restaurants and even a surprise appearance of the fisherman singing sea shanties on the quay. We loved it.

We loved it! The decor was gorgeous and the location fab. We had a magical time. Thank you.

Excellent stay in Port Issac everything you could need and more.

Thank you for an excellent stay

Lovely view out to sea and ideal position for walking round the village and beyond.

The Lifeboat Station is absolutely fantastic. Beautiful interiors and the most perfect view of picturesque Port Isaac harbour. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful apartment in an amazing location. Beds and pillows were super comfortable and the apartment was lovely and warm. Perfect place to watch the waves and tides. We had a lovely weekend.
